December 20, 2021One of our customers In Africa was having diffeculties due to the operational cost of their Telecom Tower sites. To be precise, generators at some of their remote sites have high run time, and that is due to low or non-availability of grid power.
The generator manufacturer has seen raising demand for a packaged hybrid solution in Telecom/Tower market to bring in efficient single cabinet solution for power requirement, so they put together a Hybrid solution with Diesel Generator, Rectifier unit, Solar Charge control unit and Li-ion Battery in a single canopy.
Since the solution is intended to bring-in higher efficiency of power utilisation from different power sources, it was imperative to integrate intelligent monitoring system for real time data and proactive management and control. The solution should also perform site level intelligent control of generator based on certain process parameters.
With Invendis vast and tested experience in providing remote monitoring solution for Hybrid Power units with multiple OEM’s, Invendis joined hands with the generator manufacturer in designing and coming up with a hybrid solution that is more efficient and intelligent. the end solution was designed to extract site controller and sensor data, processes them, logically control the power sources and provide the data/ alarms to remote user in real time.

- Installed OEM Hybrid Solution with Solar
- The Generator is controlled using iSensecontrolling logic
- iSenselogic to control generator is based on Li-ion Battery Voltage, SOC
- Video camera Surveillance system with Speaker and Mic
- Access Control for cabinets (done through a 3rdparty system)
- Fuel monitoring for bulk tank using pressure based fuel sensor
- Temperature monitoring of cabinet
- Airconcontroller parameters reading
- Rectifier integration
